March 2023 | Production site improvement
To further improve the efficiency of our production site, construction of a bridge was started earlier this month to connect the main production halls with the R&D, pre-production and storage areas. This bridge will make it more efficient for our staff, suppliers and container trucks to move around the whole production site.

We are proud to announce the expansion of our R&D department in Belgium with state of the art machinery for wood working product development. Also wood color development will be done by our qualified crafts persons to further assist our customers in choosing the most matching colors to fit their collections.

September 2021 | Performance Fabrics
Here at TW-studio Industries we are always looking to the
future and working on making a difference in the upholstered furniture
industry.
After extensive research in collaboration with our fabric
suppliers we have mastered the skill of implementing the treatment of fabrics
on a fiber level.
This way we can turn any existing fabric into a long term
performance fabric without any or hardly any color difference after treatment,
depending on the composition of the fabric itself.
Performance fabrics have the advantage that they are liquid
repelling and easy to clean, something your clients will love and which will
give you an extra edge on other furniture wholesalers.
As of now we would also like to offer you the option to
order all of our items in performance treated fabric.

February 2020 | Factory opening following CNY and Corona virus
Following the extended closing because of the Corona virus outbreak after the CNY holiday we are planning to open up again on February 17th. We will do our utmost to get the production up to speed again as quickly as possible.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all people affected by the virus and wish them a speedy recovery.

September 2018 | European office moved to new location
Following our moving to a new, bigger factory in China earlier this year, this September our European office also moved to a new, bigger office building. More light, more space, creating an ideal working environment for our European staff to provide the best service possible to our worldwide customers.

May 2018 | R&D department expands to 5000
square meters
Following our move to our new factory beginning of March our sample department has settled into their new 5000 square meter location.
Our new location, with plenty of natural light, gives them the space to add 2 additional upholstery stations along with extra design and sewing staff.
This improvement will help our R&D department to handle the ever-increasing demand for new models by our customers and to further develop new collection for our Home Shows during the year.

2018 | Polished floors in our production area
To ensure a clean production process we have polished and coated the floors in our whole production area. This will result in a more efficient and cleaner flow of production throughout the factory and will speed up the packing process.

In accordance to our plan for 2018 we have installed a new foam cutting machine in our Production complex. This will result in more efficient production and reduction of waste.

In an ever-evolving furniture industry it is very important to keep our finger on the pulse in order to service our core market at the best of our possibilities.
Therefore, we are very proud to announce that we will be moving to an even bigger, new custom size built facility shortly after Chinese New Year 2018.
Our new production area will have plenty of natural light flooding in through the large windows all the way round the building.
A new showroom, designed and built by our European and Chinese R&D team, will have all creature comforts for our travelling customers, to assure a pleasant and constructive environment during meetings.
We will also have 15,000 square meters of storage space available for our customers so that we can schedule shipments based on the actual needs at that time.
All buildings will have a controlled environment to make sure we have the best conditions throughout the whole production process and storage.
You can expect an invitation to visit our new facility very soon and I’m looking forward to seeing you there.

2016 | China Trade Fair in Dubai, UAE
Beginning of December saw our first entry on the UAE market when we exhibited at the China Trade Fair in Dubai. With incentives from the Chinese Government and the help of the organizer MeOrient this was a big success, opening up a whole new market for us.
We would like to thank everyone that visited us at the show and look forward to building a fruitful partnership with the prospective customers we saw.

2016 | Appointment of Ward Vanlerberghe as Sales Director – North America &
ROW
Following a career of 5 years as Key Account Manager with TW-Studio Industries Ward Vanlerberghe has been promoted to Sales Director – North America & ROW.
During his time as Key Account Manager Ward has successfully handled some of our biggest customers and also implemented data analysis based on day-to-day sales reports from our customers. Based on this data the production can be adjusted to fit the customer’s most urgent needs at that time.
As Sales Director, Ward - together with his team of Account Managers - will overlook the day-to-day order follow-up of our North American and Rest Of the World customers. We wish him all the best in this new challenge.

August 2016 | Facility improvements
We are proud to announce that we have installed a professional photo studio at our factory. This way we can provide high resolution pictures before loading the items in the container and allowing our customers to prepare their marketing and already pre-sell goods while the container is still at sea.
We have also invested $250,000 in our storage facility. We have created a sealed off area with dehumidifiers so that we can store finished items in optimal conditions.

| Special Order
Program
This March we will ship the 10.000th chair, custom made for the end customer, in the Special Order Program (SOP) we created for one of our high end retail partners in the US.
In the Special Order Program we first select a collection of frames and fabrics together with our retail partner, which we take in stock.
The end customer makes their selection in one of the stores in the US and on a weekly basis our partner sends through the Special Order PO’s which we upholster within a week and ship the week after.
This way we can guarantee a really short lead time between ordering and delivery to the home of the end customer.

March 1st marked the introduction of our Data Analysis Department lead by Key Account Manager Ward Vanlerberghe.
To optimize the stock in the warehouses of our strategic partners in the US we have put together a team of data analysts in Europe and China that have access to real-time stock information and real-time sales information of our strategic partners.
After analyzing the information we ship the most urgent products on a weekly basis to make sure that our partners are guaranteed a continuous stock level in their warehouses.

Starting the 24th of February we will fundamentally change our production process.
To give us an edge over our competitors we will move away from the traditional way of Chinese furniture production, where one worker finishes a complete item from frame to end product and receives pay per piece (piece-rates).
Following an agreement between the workers and management our production area will be set up in smaller units, where each team is specialized in one specific part of the manufacturing process. A specialized team for actual upholstery, a specialized team for inserting buttons a specialized team for putting nails, … based on the Western production methods (production line work) where each team member will receive a fixed salary per month. This will result in a consistent quality output of each model.
